Talent in Procurement and Supply Chain

How do we ensure the development of talent in procurement and supply chain in a world shaped by emerging technologies and other conflicting realities? I find it intriguing explaining this to my kids from the point of view they can comprehend. As an example i often mentioned that:

📌 Procurement isn’t just about sourcing—it shapes the services we rely on, the meals we enjoy, and the products we use daily.

📌 The school services they benefit from to the choices we make as parent when buying things, travelling etc.

📌 Governments and organisations also face this responsibility—decisions about sourcing and how its affect our communities, economies, and the planet today and for many years to come.

But what are we doing to preserve and pass on this knowledge and practice? Beyond adapting to tools like AI or blockchain, we must:

1️⃣Mentor and inspire the next generation.
2️⃣Create inclusive pathways for young talent right from secondary schools.
3️⃣Showcase the strategic and ethical impact of procurement to young people.
